THE INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION INSTITUTE (IMI) IS NO LONGER OPERATING AS A DISTINCT RESEARCH GROUP AT OXFORD.
Migration research continues at the Oxford Department of International Development, and across the University. Most prominently, a new Oxford Migration and Mobility network, hosted by the MigrationOxford research hub (www.migration.ox.ac.uk), will serve to coordinate migration-related research across Oxford departments and faculties – please visit MigrationOxford and the network website for further announcements during 2017-18.
The IMI research agenda will be kept alive through a new IMIn network. The network will focus initially on consolidating existing resources such as the IMI working paper series, information on current and past research projects of network members and associates, and the archive of datasets and project materials built up by IMI over the years. Information on the new network and its activities can be found on the new IMI network website (www.imi-n.org) which will soon be established.
Prospective students can visit the admissions pages of our MSc in Migration Studies, which continues as usual.
Prospective visiting fellows are informed that the IMI visiting researcher scheme is now closed.
For information on Research seminars on migration, please consult the ODID and MigrationOxford websites, where news of such events will be posted, as well as the COMPAS and RSC series advertised on their respective websites.
